This spring, our President, Greg Kahlert, and his wife, Roberta, joined McDaniel College President Julia Jasken on campus to unveil a plaque naming the new McDaniel College Kahlert Nursing Education Center. We’re especially excited about this project because it sits right at the intersection of two of our core focus areas, health care and education, and plays an important role in supporting Carroll County, a key priority community for the foundation.
This shared focus comes through in McDaniel’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, created in partnership with Carroll Hospital and LifeBridge Health to prepare future nurses to serve Carroll County and the wider region. Students have already begun their studies on campus, building a strong academic foundation before moving into hospital‑based classrooms and clinical spaces later this fall, including The Kahlert Foundation Simulation Center.
We look forward to seeing these future nurses turn their growing skills, compassion, and commitment into meaningful impact in hospitals and clinics throughout Central Maryland.
